Sassy Ruth Ann

Meme has become very sassy in her older age. Today when I called her for the third time, she wanted to talk to me about her Big C and how it was terminal... She started to delegate what she wanted me to have and what not. I told her that I didn't want to hear about it, that it made me sad. Meme's response... "Well, I thought you were a grown up now."
Sassy.
So she seems to be doing fine. She has had lots of visitors, phone calls, flowers and cards. She said that is what keeps her going. She has one more procedure tomorrow and then she will be off to rehab at the Amherst Nursing home for a short period of time.

Eva the spider cat

Eva is on top of my door...Crazy, crazy little critter.

Spring Time!

I like to pretend that I can be like Martha Stewart (minus the criminal part!). So today I made some coffee mugs with a spring theme::

My little Meme

Some of you may know that Meme is not doing well. She has had many health complications recently which have resulted in her spending days in the hospital. She has the Big C word which is hard for me to even think about let alone say. She is a trooper though, everyday she has a smile on her face. She is more concerned about Eva's emotional needs (yes, my cat.) than her own. Just keep Meme in your thoughts in the upcoming weeks. She begins chemotherapy tomorrow and she will need all the positive thoughts she can get sent her way. We just want to see her beautiful self as comfortable as she can be.
